PGY2: You drink coffee?
PGYx: [making coffee] Yeah!
PGY2: When did you start drinking coffee?
PGYx: I've always used coffee. I love coffee.
PGY2: [incredulously] Even during med school?!

Patient's son: Dr. Brain increased mom's Alzheimer's medication dose when he saw her last week.
Mrs. Mom: Who's Dr. Brain?
Son: I don't think I notice a difference, but it's probably too soon to tell.
Mrs. Mom:[insistently] WHO IS DR BRAIN?
Son: He helps you with your memory.
Mrs. Mom: Oh! I don't remember him! (Laughs almost as though she gets the joke)

Nurse: I'm going to test your hearing now.
Mrs. Mom: What?
Nurse: I want to check your hearing with this machine!
Mrs. Mom: I need you to repeat yourself because I can't hear you!
