I'm just back from my school's class party. It was our next-to-last hurrah and I missed most of the official trips down memory lane but had a wonderful time reminiscing with classmates and catching up with others I haven't seen in a long while. I'm fighting a cold, but I'm really glad I went.
I got a class award! My class voted me Most Likely to Have Just Read an Article About That.
And that, my friends, pretty much describes me to a T. In fact, earlier today my classmate and I briefly discussed a family member recently diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I serendipitously ran across an article about some recent preliminary results that suggest survival is higher in DLBCL patients with adequate vitamin D levels. (Just to clarify for the curious, the results don't guarantee that replacing vitamin D with supplements would yield the same results, but research is probably underway to find out!)
Did I send the article to my classmate? You bet!
